Bright or sunny intervals and scattered showers, some of these on the heavy side, chiefly across Shetland through the afternoon. Fresh northwesterly winds veering northerly, occasionally strong across Shetland for afternoon, bringing a cooler feel. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
More of the same with the mix of clear spells and scattered showers being brought on fresh to strong north to northwest winds. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
Thursday 15th September:
The run of showers between brighter spells will hold, with outbreaks quite heavy at times. With brisk northerly winds it will feel cold. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
The pattern looks set with brisk north to northwest winds bringing showers with brighter intervals between, while continuing to suppress temperatures.
