Another day of showers and brighter spells, but outbreaks will be lighter and less frequent than Saturday, while the best of the brightness is expected across Shetland. Westerly winds occasionally strong. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Many staying dry with only a few isolated light showers about, these mainly through the evening and across Orkney. West to southwest winds occasionally fresh at first. Minimum temperature 10 °C.
Monday 3rd October:
Mainly dry morning with early brightness. Cloud thickening from early afternoon, bringing periods of rain to Orkney by early evening, Shetland from mid-evening, as winds back southerly and strengthen. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Unsettled with showers occasionally merging to longer periods of rain, with west always more exposed. Feeling autumnal with winds occasionally strong to gale.
