A few early showers, mainly over Shetland, otherwise a much brighter and mainly dry day with some sunshine the best of this across Orkney. A moderate southwesterly breeze.. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

A mainly dry evening and night with some clear spells, though it will cloud over towards the end of the night with some rain reaching Orkney by dawn. Strengthening southeasterlies. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Wednesday 26th October:

Cloudy with rain over Orkney soon extending to Shetland, this heavy at times, accompanied by strong southeasterly winds. Clearer towards evening. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Thursday mainly dry bright and breezy, the odd shower. Cloudier on Friday with some rain and strong winds, possible gales. Drier with winds easing on Saturday.
