Overnight rain soon clearing from Shetland then a bright morning across the Northern Isles with sunny spells and a few showers. Increasing cloud brings outbreaks of rain to Orkney in the early afternoon and Shetland by evening. Freshening southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 11 °C.
Orkney looks mainly dry with clear spells developing as cloud and rain soon become confined to Shetland this evening, the rain gradually dying out overnight. Occasionally strong southeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 6 °C.
Monday 7th November:
A bright day with the occasional mainly light shower around, the showers become mainly confined to Shetland for the afternoon. The fresh southeasterly winds will strengthen later. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Remaining unsettled, but mild or very mild, with showers or longer spells of rain with occasionally strong southerly or southwesterly winds, risk of gales on Thursday.
