Cloud and rain across Shetland soon clearing then a bright morning with sunny spells. Cloudier conditions with showers reaching Orkney around mid-afternoon. Occasionally fresh southerly winds, strong at first in Shetland. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

There will be some clear spells and occasional showers. Winds southeasterly turning southwesterly and moderate to fresh. Staying on the mild side. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Wednesday 9th November:

The showers well scattered in the morning with some sunny spells, but these becoming more frequent through the afternoon, heavy at times. Wind strengthening from the southwest. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain on Thursday and Friday. Mainly dry on Saturday, but mist and haar possible. Windy with gales at times, but mild.
