Premiering on The Orkney News YouTube channel on Sunday 20th of November at 1200pm is the next in Martin Laird’s series of films for Orcadian Stories.
Eleanor Turner was secretary and administrator with the St. Magnus Festival from 1981-1986, as well as a singer with the Festival Chorus.
In this short film she speaks about her experiences working with the visiting artists, volunteers from the local community, and the founding Festival committee which included Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, George Mackay Brown, and Archie and Elizabeth Bevan.
