On 8th of January 1978 the TV series All Creatures Great and Small first aired on UK TV.

The series about a young vet was set in North Yorkshire and filmed on location around the villages of Askrigg and Bainbridge.

 The TV series was based on the books by James Herriot and has since been remade for today’s audience but the original remains a firm favourite.
