Cloudy with rain or drizzle during the morning. A brighter afternoon but turning colder with heavy blustery showers. West or southwesterly winds will be strong though the day, touching severe gale force at times. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
Tonight:
Very strong westerly winds continuing, reaching severe gale force. Frequent heavy showers with hail and sleet, and possibly thunder, at times. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
Monday 30th January:
Wintry showers gradually dying out through the morning as strong winds ease. Dry and bright in the afternoon before more rain arrives from the west during the evening. Maximum temperature 5 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Cold with blustery showers on Tuesday and very windy with storm force winds possible later. Winds and showers easing on Wednesday. Turning milder with some rain on Thursday.
