A mostly dry day but thicker cloud over Shetland may give the odd patch of drizzle. Some bright spells developing across Orkney. Fresh to strong south to southwesterly wind. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Cloudy and mainly dry at first. A band of mostly light rain will cross the Isles later tonight with strong southerly winds for a time, becoming lighter later. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
Tuesday 7th February:
Cloudy start but last of overnight rain quickly clearing. Then a brighter day with sunny spells and just a few light passing showers. Southwest winds strengthening later. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Windy on Wednesday with rain in afternoon along with gales, possibly severe for short time. Brighter, colder Thursday with blustery showers. Cloudy with patchy rain on Friday and staying windy.
