Today 9th February:

Frequent blustery showers today, falling as snow over Shetland, and bright or sunny intervals, accompanied by strong to gale force westerly winds. Winds and showers easing later in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Tonight:

Showers will mostly die off through this evening, giving some clear spells for a time. Clouding over later with outbreaks of rain through the second half of the night. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Friday 10th February:

Southwesterly winds picking up through the morning tomorrow, with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times. Drier and brighter during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Cloudy with some light rain at first on Saturday but this soon clearing with brightening skies. Remaining mostly dry for the rest of the weekend and to start next week.
