A very windy start with winds only gradually easing through the day. Mainly dry with sunny spells for Orkney, similar across Shetland but with scattered showers at first. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Tonight:
Dry with clear spells for much of the night but clouding over from the south during the early hours, with some patchy rain for Orkney by dawn. Winds easing further. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
Tuesday 21st February:
A cloudier day tomorrow with outbreaks of rain at times. Winds turning southerly and picking up into the evening. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
A mix of sunshine and scattered showers on Wednesday, perhaps wintry later. Cloudy with outbreaks of rain through Thursday. Sunshine and wintry showers on Friday.
