A dry start with some brightness and light winds across Shetland. Otherwise, cloudy with outbreaks of rain spreading northeast with freshening southerly winds. Becoming drier and brighter across Orkney in the afternoon. Feeling mild. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Tonight:
Rain clearing Shetland then dry for a time. However, outbreaks of rain will spread east across all parts, becoming heavy at times later. Fresh southerly winds turning westerly and easing. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Wednesday 22nd February:
A cloudy morning with outbreaks of rain erratically clearing eastwards. Brighter with a few showers in the afternoon, turning wintry in the evening. Feeling cold with freshening northwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
A bright and cold start to Thursday but turning wet and windy. Cold and windy on Friday with bright spells and wintry showers. Mainly dry with lighter winds on Saturday.
