Today 9th March:
Scattered snow showers will continue across the Northern Isles today, although these will become lighter and less frequent than recent days, allowing more sunny spells. Cold northerly winds. Maximum temperature 2 °C.
Tonight:
The snow showers will continue through this evening and overnight, perhaps turning heavier by dawn. Some clear spells at times. Minimum temperature -5 °C.
Friday 10th March:
Little change into Friday with sunny spells and snow showers continuing. Winds picking up through the day. Maximum temperature 3 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Scattered snow showers will continue over the coming days across the Northern Isles, with perhaps some more persistent snow reaching Orkney by Monday.
