A dull, cloudy day with periods of patchy rain and drizzle. Low cloud, mist and fog increasing through the afternoon. Fresh to strong southeast winds easing light and variable from the south late afternoon. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Mist, fog, patchy light rain and drizzle through evening and much of night, clearing towards dawn as freshening northwest winds develop, leading to mainly dry, occasionally bright start to Friday. Minimum temperature 3 °C.
Friday 17th March :
A mix of brighter spells and scattered, generally light, showers. Fresh west to northwest winds, veering to the north by afternoon. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Changeable with showers or longer periods of rain for Saturday, mainly dry and bright Sunday, and early Monday, then rain extending from the southwest late Monday.
