A few showers affecting the south of Shetland at first, otherwise a mostly dry and bright morning. Rain pushing north across Orkney during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy and wet this evening for Orkney but dry at first for Shetland. Rain extending northwards overnight, with increasing easterly winds. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Wednesday 29th March:

Mostly cloudy tomorrow with outbreaks of rain, this turning heavier later in the afternoon and evening, accompanied by strong southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Some early rain on Thursday then mainly dry and bright. Cloudier with outbreaks of rain on Friday. Mostly dry and bright on Saturday after early cloud clears.
