A mainly dry and bright day with some hazy sunshine at times. However, cloud will tend to thicken from the west, some patchy light rain possible by evening. Moderate to fresh southerly winds. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Tonight:
Cloud continuing to thickening with occasional rain, this mainly light and patchy. Mild with the southerly winds fresh to strong. Minimum temperature 6 °C.
Wednesday 5th April:
Mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, much of this light but the odd heavier burst expected. The south or southeast winds fresh to strong, easing later. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Heavy rain possible over Shetland on Thursday, but drier in Orkney. Dry with bright and sunny spells on Friday and Saturday. Breezy at times.
