A fine and dry day with almost unbroken sunshine across the Northern Isles. Feeling quite warm in the sunshine especially in western parts with a mainly light easterly or southeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Dry with evening sunshine followed by a clear night. Risk of patchy haar, especially for eastern Orkney, through the early hours. Mainly light easterly winds. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Thursday 20th April:

Another largely fine and sunny day, although an increasing risk of patchy haar affecting eastern parts. Freshening easterly or northeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Dry, sunny spells and patchy haar Friday. Turning colder over the weekend with increasing risk of showers, most frequent and perhaps wintry on Sunday, with winds turning northerly and strengthening.
