Dry and bright with some sunshine at times, but mist and low cloud will continue to affect coastal areas, especially across eastern parts of Shetland. Light winds, mainly from the north to northeast. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Tonight:
Dry through the evening with some sunshine, but mist and low cloud will continue around the coasts will spread inland across both Orkney and Shetland overnight. Northeasterly winds freshening later. Minimum temperature 3 °C.
Saturday 22nd April:
Mist and low cloud breaking up to give some sunshine for a time, but clouds increasing in the afternoon with perhaps a few showers as northeasterly winds strengthen. Maximum temperature 11 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Turning colder with increasingly wintry showers and strong to gale force northerly winds on Sunday. Sunny intervals and further wintry showers on Monday and Tuesday as winds slowly moderate.
