It will be another cold day with further wintry showers, The showers will pass by quickly in the fresh northerly wind with drier, brighter interludes in between. Maximum temperature 5 °C.
Tonight:
Some clear intervals during the night with further sleet, snow and hail showers. Another cold night with the fresh northwesterly wind continuing to ease down. Minimum temperature 0 °C.
Wednesday 26th April:
Sunny spells and scattered wintry showers with a lighter northwesterly breeze. Temperatures remaining on the cold side. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Still a few wintry showers on Thursday and Friday, especially over Shetland, otherwise mostly dry with sunshine and light winds. Cloudy skies and rain expected to spread in during Saturday.

The Dog’s-tooth Violet in the picture flowered beautifully again this year – then we had that wind on Sunday – and it’s now a sad, ragged thing.
