Today 27th April:

Cold with sunny spells across Shetland. Largely dry with just a few isolated light showers, most likely in the morning. A dry sunny start across Orkney, but cloud soon spreading up from the south bringing rain in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

A dry start to the evening for Shetland but rain and cloud over Orkney soon spread north. The rain turns heavy over Shetland later in the night. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Friday 28th April:

Rain and low cloud in the morning, occasionally heavy over Shetland. Turning dry with sunny spells in the afternoon, but also turning colder. Light winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

A largely dry few days with some bright or sunny spells at times, and largely light winds. A chance of rain on Sunday. Remaining cold for the time of year.
