Tonight:

Cloudy with light rain, persistent across Orkney, patchy for Shetland, particularly to the north of Lerwick. Southeast winds strengthening, reaching near gale over Orkney towards dawn. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Thursday 4th May:

Cloudy start with periods of rain focused over Orkney. Rain turning patchy by noon, then clearing during the afternoon as sunny spells develop across Shetland. Southeast winds brisk over Orkney. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Unsettled with showers or longer periods of rain. Southeast winds persisting perhaps touching gale force for Friday.
