A cloudy day with some fog patches and drizzle for Shetland but perhaps some brighter spells in the west, breezy for Orkney with a few cloud breaks developing. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Cloud soon increases across Orkney with overcast skies and periods of fog and drizzle lingering across the Northern Isles as breezy conditions spread north through the night. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Thursday 11th May:

After a cloudy start with fog patches and drizzle drier and brighter conditions spread south from the morning. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Mainly dry with sunny periods and light winds Friday and Saturday. The wind strengthens from the south later Saturday with cloud and rain spreading east from early Sunday morning.
