Today 11th May:

Generally cloudy and misty with fog patches and drizzle. Staying murky and damp over Orkney through the day, but drier and somewhat brighter conditions will spread south across Shetland during the afternoon. Light north or northeast breeze. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Tonight:

Shetland will be largely dry with variable amounts of cloud. Low cloud, patchy fog and drizzle over Orkney will slowly thin and mostly break up overnight. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Friday 12th May:

Some patchy low cloud at first, mainly over Orkney, otherwise a mostly dry and bright day and the afternoon will see some sunny spells. Light and rather variable winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Mainly dry on Saturday with sunny spells and light winds. Strengthening southwest winds overnight, leaving Sunday cloudy with outbreaks of rain, Mainly dry and sunny Monday but some showers later.
