A dry day with some bright or sunny spells. Low cloud and mist may affect Orkney this morning, and Shetland and Fair Isle throughout the day. Light winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Chance of a little sunshine this evening. Otherwise low cloud and haar will become extensive overnight along with a little drizzle. Light and variable winds. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Saturday 13th May:

A lot of low cloud lingering throughout the day along with fog patches. Best chance of any brightness likely to be across Orkney later in the day. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Early rain on Sunday then mainly dry and much brighter. A few showers on Monday and Tuesday, and turning colder by Tuesday.
