Cloudy and dry with bright spells, particularly across Orkney, in the morning. Thickening cloud with outbreaks of rain, patchy at first, spread east from the afternoon. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain in the evening becoming overcast with light rain or drizzle, mainly across Shetland. Fresh southwesterly breeze. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Thursday 18th May:

Overcast with rain or drizzle at first then dry and brighter for a time before further cloud and rain spread east through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Dry with sunny spells on Friday. Further rain spreading in from the west on Saturday becoming dry and brighter from Sunday afternoon.
