Staying dry but rather cloudy, although sunny spells will develop during the afternoon, especially in the west. Eastern parts likely to remain cloudy. Light easterly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.


Perhaps a little brightness at first, otherwise a cloudy night. Some haar will arrive from the east with a little drizzle. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Monday 19th June:

Cloudy with some haar in the morning. Outbreaks of rain and strong easterly winds will reach Orkney in the morning before spreading to Shetland in the afternoon. Orkney becoming brighter. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Bright spells on Tuesday and Wednesday, but some showers across Orkney. Haar at times affecting Shetland. Dry with some sunshine on Thursday.
