Mainly dry through the day with sunny spells in the morning, but becoming cloudier in the afternoon, with perhaps a little rain late afternoon. Warm, especially so for Orkney with light south or southeasterly winds, but freshening a little later. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Tonight:
Mostly cloudy with patchy rain or showers in the evening then dry with some clear spells, but cloudier over Orkney later with outbreaks of rain. Moderate south or southeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Saturday 24th June:
Cloud and rain spreading to Shetland through the morning, becoming drier, brighter over Orkney into the afternoon. Warm again. Southerly winds turning southwesterly and freshening a little in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Mainly dry, bright and warm Sunday but windier with heavy and perhaps thundery rain later. Dry with sunny spells on Monday and feeling fresher.Some rain Tuesday, with heavy outbreaks later.
