Mainly dry, bright and warm morning and early afternoon. Heavy and perhaps thundery rain reaching Orkney later in afternoon, torrential downpours and hail possible. Fresh southeast winds. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Tonight:
The heavy rain extending to Shetland where it will linger into the night. Rain and thunderstorms clearing Orkney during the evening with some clear spells overnight. Minimum temperature 11 °C.
Monday 26th June:
Any rain over Shetland at first soon clearing then dry with sunny spells. Orkney will have some sunshine along with a few showers. Less warm, but lighter winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Dry with sunny spells on Tuesday though some rain on Tuesday night. Shetland starting wet on Wednesday otherwise mainly dry with some sunshine. Thursday mainly dry, sunny spells.
