A cloudy morning with occasional outbreaks of rain. Dry by the afternoon, although remaining cloudy across Shetland. Brighter spells will develop over Orkney. Southeast winds easing. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Tonight:

A dry evening and night. It will be mostly cloudy over Shetland, but cloud will thin and break over Orkney to give an increasingly clear night. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Saturday 8th July:

A sunny, warm and dry day. Southeast winds will become strong across Orkney, but moderate over Shetland. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Showers Sunday morning, then mainly dry. Cloudy but dry on Monday. Rain is likely to spread north on Tuesday. Mainly light winds.
