It will be a bright, mostly sunny and warm day. The southeast winds will be fresh at times across Orkney, but light to moderate over Shetland. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Tonight:

Staying dry during this evening with some sunny or clear spells, but a few heavy, perhaps thundery, outbreaks of rain possible across Orkney overnight. Mainly moderate southeast winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Sunday 9th July:

The chance of a few early thundery across showers Orkney, but mainly dry and bright. Haar possible by evening and winds light to moderate from the southeast. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Rain or showers at first on Monday, perhaps heavy over Shetland with some Haar. Becoming brighter with showers, then mostly bright with a few showers on Tuesday and Wednesday.
