It will be a mainly dry and bright day with some warm sunshine. However, some showery outbreaks of rain possible over Orkney this morning. The southeast winds will be light to moderate. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Staying mainly dry with some sunny or clear spells, but a few heavy, perhaps thundery, outbreaks of rain are possible with a chance of haar. Mainly moderate southeast winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Monday 10th July:

Mainly dry with some bright spells, low cloud and mist possible. A few showers around, these most likely across Orkney. Light winds. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

An unsettled and mostly cloudy period with showers or some longer outbreaks of rain. Winds most light at first but freshening and times on Wednesday and Thursday.
