Today 14th July:

A mostly dry and bright day with some sunny spells. perhaps just an isolated light shower over Shetland. Light and variable winds at first then a light to moderate easterly later. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

A dry evening but cloud will thicken up from the south. Rain will reach Orkney in the early hours, some heavy, extending to Shetland towards morning. Strengthening easterly winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Saturday 15th July:

A wet and windy morning with the odd rumble of thunder possible. Drier sunnier conditions reaching Orkney by afternoon with Shetland brightening up later, winds easing. Possible evening thunderstorms Shetland. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Sunny spells, isolated showers on Sunday, light winds. Cloudier with a few light showers on Monday, breezy. Sunshine and a few showers on Tuesday.
