Mostly cloudy with bright spells and occasional showers, although the showers should push through quickly on the brisk northwest winds. Feeling rather cool in the wind. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

The showers well scattered at times with the cloud thinning and breaking to give some clearer spells. Still breezy over Shetland, but the west to northwest winds easing across Orkney. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Tuesday 18th July:

Bright with occasional sunny spells and a scattering of showers. The showers most likely across Shetland with the best of any sunshine in Orkney. Winds fresh at times in Shetland. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Bright spells and occasional showers through Wednesday and Thursday. Cool in moderate to fresh northwest winds. Showers or some longer outbreaks of rain on Friday.
