Rather cloudy with showers. Outbreaks occasional but quite light through the morning, tending to turn a little heavier and more frequent for the afternoon. Northwest winds fresh, easing late afternoon. Best of limited brighter spells expected across Orkney. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

Continuing with mainly cloudy, showery conditions tonight. Outbreaks quite frequent and sharp at times. Winds west to northwest moderate to fresh. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Friday 21st July:

Cloudy and showery through much of the morning, but turning drier and brighter for the afternoon, as the moderate to fresh northwest winds ease. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

During the weekend mainly dry with occasional brighter spells, coupled with relatively light northeasterly breezes. Winds backing northerly for Monday and bringing rather cloudy skies and occasional showers.
