Today 23rd July:

A bright day with sunny spells and moderate northeast becoming northerly winds. A few scattered showers, these mainly in the afternoon and most likely over Shetland. Maximum temperature 15 °C.


Scattered showers will continue through this evening and overnight, again most frequent across Shetland. Some clear spells and moderate northerly winds. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Monday 24th July:

A mostly dry morning with sunny spells for Orkney, but a few showers across Shetland. Cloud increases across Orkney in the afternoon bringing some patchy rain. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Showers on Tuesday, confined to Shetland later, where they merge to give light rain overnight. Rain clearing Shetland early Wednesday, then cloudy but dry with light winds. Rain later Thursday.
