Today 27th July:
Some sunny spells for Orkney, and southern and central Shetland. Low cloud, drizzle and mist will affect Yell and Unst, and perhaps north mainland Shetland for a time, and Orkney will cloud over later. Light winds Shetland, moderate southeasterlies Orkney. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Tonight:
Orkney will be cloudy, with outbreaks of rain soon arriving this evening, continuing on and off overnight, with haar developing. Shetland will stay dry with some clear spells. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Friday 28th July:
Shetland will start dry with sunny spells before clouding over in afternoon, with rain spreading from south. Orkney starting damp, with extensive haar, then becoming drier, perhaps brightening in west. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Mainly dry over the weekend and the start of the week with some bright or sunny spells, though there could be some cloudier spells with patchy rain and mist.
