Shetland will start dry with sunny spells before clouding over in afternoon, with rain spreading from south. Orkney starting damp, with extensive haar, then becoming drier by afternoon, perhaps brightening in west. Light to moderate east or southeast breeze. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Haar becoming more widespread through the evening, with further rain or drizzle over Shetland, this continuing overnight, while it turns clearer across Orkney. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Saturday 29th July:

Haar and occasional rain affecting Shetland gradually clearing from south and brightening up with some sunshine. Sunny spells through the day for Orkney. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Sunday and Monday look dry and bright with some sunny spells and mainly light winds. Cloudier on Tuesday with perhaps a little rain.
