Wednesday 9th August:

Cloudy with patchy light rain Shetland at first. Dry with sunny spells over Orkney, spreading to Shetland later. Strong northwest winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

More sunshine on Thursday for Shetland with hazy sunshine for Orkney. Rain pushing north for a time on Friday. Mainly dry and brighter Saturday.
