Today 13th August:

A bright start across Orkney with sunny spells and scattered heavy showers. Cloudier across Shetland with haar at times and outbreaks of showery rain, occasionally heavy and perhaps thundery, especially this afternoon. Southwesterly breeze easing. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Haar and occasionally heavy, showery rain across Shetland gradually clearing north overnight with clear spells developing. Evening showers over Orkney soon dying out then dry with clear spells. Light winds. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Monday 14th August:

A bright day with sunny spells and a few showers around, these mainly across Orkney where there could be the odd heavy one. Winds will be light. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Bright with a few showers Tuesday and Wednesday and a rather cool northerly breeze. Mainly dry with sunny spells Thursday but a risk of haar later as southeasterly winds develop.
