A rather cloudy day with scattered, mainly light showers around, the best of any brighter or sunnier spells likely across southern parts of Shetland and Orkney. Light northerly winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Staying rather cloudy, with a few light showers, and just the odd clear interval. Perhaps some patchy mist and haar. Winds will be light. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Wednesday 16th August:

A brighter day, with some good sunny spells, and just the odd light shower. Light winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Thursday and Friday will be dry and bright with some sunshine. A dry start on Saturday then heavy rain spreading from south, with strengthening easterly winds.
