Weather Forecast: A dry day with sunny spells

Today 17th August:

A cloudy start in places but this soon breaking up to leave a fine and dry day with patchy cloud and sunny spells. Light to moderate east or southeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 16 °C.


Staying dry this evening and overnight with largely clear skies across Orkney and Shetland. Perhaps a little cloudier over Orkney by morning. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Friday 18th August:

Another dry day tomorrow with sunny spells, however turning cloudier later in the day with increasing winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

A dry start to Saturday but rain arriving from the south into the afternoon, accompanied by strong winds. Staying breezy on Sunday and Monday with bright spells and showers.
