A largely dry and bright day with some sunny spells, just a few well scattered showers, these mainly across Shetland in the morning. Light winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

A mostly dry evening and night. Some clear spells at first, particularly across Orkney, but cloud will increase overnight, perhaps giving a little light rain towards dawn. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Friday 1st September:

A mainly dry day, although rather cloudy in the morning with a few spots of rain possible over Orkney. Brightening up in the afternoon with sunny spells developing. Light winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Dry and bright much of Saturday, but clouding over later with rain and freshening winds overnight and on Sunday. Drier and brighter on Monday, winds easing.
