Weather Forecast: Dry with sunny spells, but cloud increasing later

A dry and bright morning with some good spells of sunshine around. The sunshine becomes increasingly hazy through the afternoon as cloud thickens from the west. Freshening southerly winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain from late evening, the rain becoming persistent and heavy at times overnight. Fresh southwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Sunday 3rd September:

A mostly cloudy morning with further outbreaks of occasionally heavy rain. The rain becoming lighter and patchy through the afternoon, with some brighter spells for Shetland later. Strong southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Rather cloudy with a little rain through Monday and Tuesday, best of any brighter spells for Shetland. Dry with some sunny spells on Wednesday but increasing risk of haar.
