Rather cloudy start then becoming brighter with sunny spells developing. Also dry much of the time but there will be a few passing showers. More in the way of sunshine later. Occasionally fresh westerly breeze. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

It will be mostly dry with clear periods and just a few light showers continuing. A cooler night with light winds. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Tuesday 12th September:

Mainly dry with clouds breaking to give some bright or sunny interludes. There will continue to be a few light showers, especially over Shetland. Light northwesterly breeze. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Mainly dry Wednesday with some sunshine and light winds. Cloudy on Thursday with rain and stronger winds. Sunshine and scattered showers following later Thursday and on Friday.
