Sacha Woolham, Director of The Strategy Collective has been announced as a finalist for the ‘Inspiring Leader of the Year’ at the Women’s Enterprise Scotland (WES) Awards 2023. The award recognises a female business leader in Scotland who has contributed to enhancing the landscape for women-led businesses and nominees must have played an instrumental role in enabling women to start up in business and thrive.

Sacha’s nomination is centred around her work with women-owned businesses across Scotland; encouraging and supporting them to push past their boundaries and grow in confidence, opening themselves up to new opportunities and increasing their revenue.  

“In starting up The Strategy Collective, I was conscious of the fact that I wanted to be able to help businesses and individuals flourish.  The Inspiring Leader nomination means a lot to me as it shows that we’re definitely moving in the right direction!”

Sacha is, of course, growing her own successful business too.  Set up in 2018, The Strategy Collective brings experts from across Scotland and beyond to help businesses across a whole range of marketing services.  The business has gone from strength to strength and, earlier this year, they set up their first office in Kirkwall, providing a hub for their local team and customers:

“It’s been a very exciting year for The Strategy Collective and the new office is a great addition.  We’re designing it as a flexible and sociable space which I hope will benefit not only our team but also others in the area.  The space will also include a small studio to allow us to support the digital arts across the islands, giving new creatives the room to experiment. ”

The WES Awards winners will be announced at the ceremony taking place at the Voco Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday October 26, with broadcaster Kirsty Wark as keynote speaker.
