It will be rather cloudy overnight with drier weather at first, then showers or longer spells of rain later tonight. Fresh or strong southerly winds. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Thursday 21st September:

Rather cloudy with scattered showers. The showers will be mostly over Orkney with drier, brighter weather across Shetland. Fresh southerly winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Rather cloudy on Friday with a few bright spells and blustery showers. Strong northwest winds developing, especially for Orkney. Drier, brighter Saturday with lighter winds, then some rain on Sunday.
