Manly cloudy start with a little light rain, mostly over Orkney. Becoming drier during the day with bright or sunny spells developing. Mostly light winds, but fresher southwesterly winds later. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Tonight:
Clear spells and a few showers into the evening, but becoming cloudy overnight with outbreaks of rain pushing in as southwesterly winds strengthen. Perhaps some heavy rain later, mainly Shetland, Minimum temperature 9 °C.
Tuesday 19th October:
Cloudy with outbreaks of rain and strong southwest winds. Some heavy rain in the afternoon before clearing to scattered showers into the evening as winds turn westerly. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Westerly gales and rain into Wednesday, but scattered showers and northwest winds by afternoon. Drier and brighter Thursday with lighter winds, Southwest gales and rain overnight, windy and showery Friday.
