Bright spells, dry at first then a few showers from late morning. Cloud will thicken over Shetland from early afternoon with showery rain following from the west. Southwest winds strengthen later. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Tonight:
Occasional clear spells over Orkney at first otherwise cloudy. Showery rain soon clears Shetland, a band of squally rain follows over the Isles later. Windy. Minimum temperature 6 °C.
Friday 13th October:
Bright spells and showers becoming colder as winds turn northwesterly and strengthen to severe gale from late evening. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Cold with bright spells and showers, wintry Saturday night. Severe gales Saturday morning easing into Sunday when showers clear. Cloudy, milder with showery rain Monday.
