Today 17th October:
Dry for much of the day with bright spells and even a little sunshine breaking though. Still a few light showers, especially over Shetland. Feeling milder as winds become light. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Tonight:
Most places will remain dry with clear periods, just the odd light shower remaining. Strengthening southeasterly winds, especially over Orkney. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Wednesday 18th October:
Another mainly dry day with some sunshine and a few light showers. Strong east or southeast winds particularly around Orkney. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
A mostly dry few days although Orkney may see some rain later on Thursday. It will be windy on Thursday and Friday with southeasterly gales, possibly severe on Thursday.
