Variable amounts of cloud and a few passing showers. More in the way of drier weather developing this afternoon. Fresh southeasterly winds across Orkney, and later Fair Isle. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Often cloudy across Orkney with a few passing showers. Mainly dry with clear periods across Shetland, just the odd shower. Fresh to strong easterly winds, perhaps gale across Orkney later. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Sunday 29th October:

A few showers at first otheriwse mainly dry with some bright or sunny periods. Fresh to strong easterly winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Mostly dry and bright on Monday and Tuesday with brisk northeasterly winds. Dry for most of Wednesday but wind and rain extending north later.
